Hands playing with clay on the potter's wheel

Come learn the art of pottery...

Whether you’re a beginner with no artistic experience or already an expert, a child as young as seven or an adult of any age, we have a class that’s right for you. Learn to throw on a potter’s wheel with one-on-one instruction by Martin Talavera, or take a scheduled handbuilding or polymer clay class. Bring your imagination and your creativity and come get your hands dirty.

All class sessions are an hour and a half and are sold in blocks of four—we do not lock you into long term obligations—and all classes include clay, glazes or paints, and use of studio tools at no extra charge.

What our students say

Jacquie (Intermediate Potter's Wheel), "I started taking lessons from The Clay Pot in 2009 when my boyfriend had gotten me a gift certificate for pottery lessons for my birthday. I was really nervous since I hadn't touched clay since I was in high school, but Martin and the rest of the staff soon put me at ease. I love learning all the techniques and developing my own style."

Kim (Beginners Potter's Wheel), "Working with clay is a totally new form of expression for me. It is so very relaxing, but exciting all at the same time. I have always had a love for pottery, but now that I am a part of it, I have a whole new respect and appreciation for it"
